LPPI reportedly considering taking on Brunel business

Published: September 25, 2025

The Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI) is reportedly set to take on the Brunel Pension Partnership business.

It comes just a day after Devon County Council Pension Fund became the first fund to declare for LPPI.

Documents seen by Pensions Expert, LAPF Investments’ sister publication, reveal that Avon Pension Fund’s committee will meet later this week to decide its fund’s pool of choice. The documents state that “LPPI is likely, on the basis of initial discussions, though this is not guaranteed, to integrate the Brunel business”.

Pensions Expert has approached both LPPI and Brunel for comment. A spokesperson for LPPI said the pool does not comment on “market speculation”.

Six Brunel partner funds, including Avon, are yet to publicly confirm which pool they will move to – the others being Buckinghamshire, Cornwall, Dorset, the Environment Agency and Somerset.
