Final ‘orphaned’ fund heading to LPPI
Published: October 14, 2025
The Environment Agency Pension Fund is set to join LPPI, becoming the final fund to indicate its preferred pool.
It joins fellow former Brunel funds Devon, Dorset, Somerset, and Cornwall to declare LPPI preferred new pool following an extensive due diligence process.
Following the integration, LPPI’s total assets under management (AUM) will be more than £54bn.
Chris Rule, chief executive of LPPI, said: “We’re very pleased to be selected by all our new partner funds. This is the start of an exciting collaboration, where we’ll work closely to achieve their goals, all while maximising the benefits of pooling for their members, employers and taxpayers.”
The pool will now work closely with all nine partner funds to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding as equal shareholders, whilst maintaining alignment with each fund’s existing investment strategies and objectives.
