Heavy-hitters join NAPF councils
NewsFormer secretary of state for work and pensions, Lord Hutton, has joined the retirement policy council of the National Association of Pension funds.
Hutton, as the author of a report on public sector pension reform, will help the NAPF develop policy initiatives and is joined on the council by Pitmans Trustees managing director, Richard Butcher. Kerrin Rosenberg, Cardano Risk Management chief executive officer was elected to the NAPF investment council along with Hymans Robertson partner, John Walbaum.
NAPF chief executive, Joanne Segars ,said: “We are delighted that our councils will benefit from the expertise and experience of these well-known names from the pensions world. They will add a lot to the ongoing debate on how to make pensions fit for the 21st century. Lord Hutton’s experience speaks for itself and he brings a wealth of expertise to the NAPF. We look forward to working with him and his fellow council members.” Lord Hutton commented: “I am delighted to have been elected as a new member of the Retirement Policy Council and look forward to contributing to the NAPF’s vital role in securing fair and sustainable pensions.”
