The Access pool has published its first progress update to provide an overview of the pool and to highlight the last year’s key achievements.

By December 2021, the Authorised Contractual Scheme (ACS) managed by the pool’s appointed operator, Link Fund Solutions had accumulated £22.9 billion across 25 sub-funds, with a further £12.1 billion placed with UBS.

Once the £12.9 million costs were deducted, the pool had achieved £29.4 million of savings.

The pooling process itself has achieved 57% completion.

Over the last year, Access appointed Minerva Analytics as environmental, social and governance (ESG) adviser.

Minerva Analytics drafted revised and updated responsible investment guidelines for the pool. It is expected the finalised guidelines will be adopted during 2022.

In January 2022, Access announced the appointment of MJ Hudson as implementation adviser for the pooling of illiquid assets including private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate.

Access also launched four sub-funds between July 2021 and February 2022 for a total of £3.2 billion.
