Avon Pension Fund, the £5.4 billion local government pension scheme serving Bristol, Bath, and surrounding areas, has appointed Rebecca Whelan as Senior Investments Officer, based at its Keynsham offices near Bath.

In her new role Rebecca will oversee many of the Fund’s carbon disclosures and help implement the Fund’s recent £150 million allocation to local impact investments. Rebecca will work with Nathan Rollinson, Investments Manager and Liz Woodyard, Group Manager Funding, Investments and Risk.

Rebecca Whelan, Senior Investments Officer at Avon Pension Fund, said:

Rebecca joins with strong investment management experience. Previous roles include Head of Research roles at Beckford James Chartered Financial Planners and Parallel Investment Management. Economics graduate Rebecca brings particular skills in investment research, asset allocation and ESG analysis.
