Cornwall Pension Fund announces LPPI as its preferred pooling partner

Cornwall Pension Fund has announced it wants to join the LPPI pool, becoming the fifth fund to do so.

It now leaves the Environment Agency as the only orphaned LGPS fund yet to formally confirm which pool it will join. When contacted by LAPF Investments, the Environment Agency said its decision will be communicated in due course.

The funds were given until 30 September to tell ministers what they wanted to do.

Cornwall becomes the fifth Brunel fund joining LPPI, along with Devon, Dorset, Somerset, and Avon.

In a statement, Cornwall Pension Fund said: “We will be working closely with our Brunel partner funds to develop a plan to transition to the new pooling arrangements, ensuring that we secure the best possible outcome for our members.”
