LGPS Central appoints new Director of Policy

LGPS Central has announced the appointment of Nigel Peaple as its new Director of Policy. 

A seasoned policy expert, Peaple has more than 25 years of experience across the public and private sectors in the field of pensions and investments. He joins from trade body Pensions UK where he held roles as Director of Policy and Advocacy and Chief Policy Counsel. 

In a newly created role, he will lead work on public policy and external engagement. His remit includes building relationships with key stakeholders, including the Treasury and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and will help shape the pool’s contribution to the future of the LGPS.
