Nemone Wynn-Evans announced as chair-elect at LGPS Central

LGPS Central has confirmed the appointment of Nemone Wynn-Evans as non-executive director and chair-elect of the board.

Currently the chair of the Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, she will succeed Joanne Segars when her term of office ends on 30 October.

Her previous experience includes chair of Shepherds Friendly Society and executive roles in corporate finance, investor relations and governance. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.

Her appointment follows the unanimous approval of shareholders. Commenting on the news, Wynn-Evans said: “LGPS Central Limited plays a critical role on behalf of its valued Partner Funds and their scheme members.

“I am passionate about ensuring we maximise the potential of the pool to seize the opportunities that have been presented, following recent pension reform. I am honoured to take up this role at such an important time for the industry and look forward to contributing to its continued success.”

Segars added: “On behalf of the Board of LGPS Central Limited, I welcome Nemone to the Company, She joins at a pivotal and exciting time as our Pool looks ahead to the next phase of its pooling journey, working with our Partner Funds and the wider LGPS community to maximise the full benefits of pooling.”
