Pictet Asset Management has increased its emerging market debt product range with a fund investing in short-term emerging market corporate debt. Holdings in the fund will have a maximum duration of three years. It will be managed by Pictet’s head of emerging corporate debt, Alain-Nsiona Defise, supported by seven EM corporate investment professionals.

Defise commented: “This new fund aims to offer investors stable income generation and lower volatility compared to longer-term emerging market corporate debt. The fund is well-diversified and invests across all sectors and emerging markets globally.”

The fund is set up as a Luxembourg SICAV and it will be registered in other European countries during 2014.
